Minnow is co-owned and lives with Kathleen Riley-Daniels and Dave Daniels. Since kathleen works as a dog and horse photographer and as Editor of the German Shepherd Club of America nation magazine, he travels with her to dog shows all over the Midwest and South. Originally he was to come to me but I was in the middle of selling my house, living in an apartment and juggling five dogs already while I built the place I live in now. So Kathleen and Dave agreed to take in the little pup while I got things straightened out. He'd only been there about a week before Kathleen informed me that he wasn't going to go any further west; he was going to be a Minnesota dog forever (though he has since visited Washington State on vacation). Now he's the #1 Owner-Handled Chinook for 2017 and the first Chinook to earn the Farm Dog Certification. He also has his Rally Novice title and Canine Good Citizen certification -- Minnow is one smart puppy. He's handsome too. Since he's the only Chinook showing in the Midwest in AKC shows, he hasn't been able to complete his AKC championship but he does have a wonderful reputation among many esteemed judges of the Working Group. He will be bred for the first time in 2018 and we're looking forward to seeing his pups. |
