|Leading the way to Chinook Magic! My breeding goals are to produce well-tempered, healthy Chinooks with excellent structure and working ability that will make a wonderful addition to any family. Now accepting applications for show/breeding and pet homes.
|MountainThunder Chinooks is located in Ft. Collins, CO. Our "kennel" is our home, as we are hobby breeders trying to help contribute to the preservation of the Chinook breed. Our goal is to breed for the elements that make a good working dog - health, temperament, structure and movement. MountainThunder believes a Chinook should be judged in terms of working ability vs. uniform ear sets and coat color.
|Breeding for health, temperament and working ability. We put a premium on socializing our puppies to make successful transitions to their new homes. The dogs we produce make excellent family pets and wonderful working companions. You can find GreatMountain Chinooks on facebook.
|We breed intelligence and gentleness, your best family or individual companion. We want our dogs spending time with their human partners in homes, yards, hikes, sports, etc. We hope each will be trained to do what s/he most enjoys: obedience, agility, sledding, running, etc....to learn all that makes him/her an integral part of a partnership or family. And we expect to welcome the owners into our extended Chinook family.
|Spook Nook Chinooks
|We are a small kennel in northwestern Connecticut, dedicated to preserving the health, structure, and qualities that make this breed so special. Only puppies with the best structure, temperament, and health, that are free of disease and ailments will be moved forward in breeding. We focus on the work-ability of dogs that will be wonderful family pets, as well.
|Rain Mountain Chinooks
|Thirty years of breeding and more than 8 generations of Champions. Powerful, Healthy & Sweet for Pet, Show & Pulling. We have many dual titled (conformation and performance) titled dogs and add more each year. Rain Mountain, founded in 1988, is the oldest still-active Chinook breeder in the world. We may live out in the country but we only have as many Chinooks as can sleep on the bedroom floor and fit in the car for frequent rids to anywhere. Every dog here is trained at least in basics, if not more -- no kennel dogs! Litters are planned long in advance with careful analysis of pedigrees and health of the litter. Feel free to contact us for questions about the breed at any time (email preferred) or for visits to meet Chinooks "in the fur." Current events are on our "Rain Mountain Chinooks" Facebook page so check it out for activities and announcements. Each summer on the second Saturday in August we sponsor the Western Chinook Picnic for all Chinooks and their humans (or just fans of the breed) here at the Rain Mountain Slug Ranch. For a full day we have a Chinooks play fest for the dogs in the meadow and the on the trails while the humans barbecue. Almost everyone goes home with a door prize and a very tired dog. Guests come from all over the West, Alaska, the western Canadian provinces, and even from the Midwest for the event.
|We breed infrequently, but are always available for breed information and inquiries, as well as referrals to reputable breeders with puppies available. We welcome visitors to our farm to learn more about the Chinook dog. Our "WINGS" litter puppies are all with their new families, doing well and enjoying lots of attention. See their photos on our website. Videos are always available of this litter from three days through seven weeks of age.
|We are located in Central Massachusetts, in the shadow of Mount Wachusett. Whether it be pulling a sled, cuddling on the couch or in the show ring, the very special and versatile Chinook offers something for everyone. With each breeding we strive to keep the Chinook healthy and historic! We are not taking applications at this time.
|Desert Sol Chinooks
|Desert Sol Chinooks (est. 2012) is a small, hobby breeder of Chinooks, a rare American dog from New England originally bred as a sled dog. The Chinook has been described as "the "world's best kept secret" as they are loving, gentle, great for families, have a moderate energy level, are good working dogs, and make excellent companions (everything one could want in a dog!). We are located in Gilbert, Arizona (we know...that's a long ways from any snow), and are committed to responsibly promoting the breed in the southwestern United States. If you or someone you know is interested in a Chinook, please let us know and we can set up a meeting with our Chinook breed ambassador, Kyra.
|Ferncroft Chinooks is located in Farmington, NH. I am a small, home-based breeder with large expectations for our Chinooks! I offer top-quality, loving puppies. I am a member of the Chinook Owners Association and the Chinook Club of America. My goal is to produce a great representation of the Chinook with a focus on health, pedigree, and complementary traits. We are a AKC Bred With H.E.A.R.T. Breeder.
|We are a family with two Chinooks living in the centre of Switzerland in a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Our intention is to become hobby breeders of the Chinook dog and possibly the first outside the United States. We strive to breed for health and working ability of these wonderful companions as well as promote the conservation of the Chinook breed.
