She was bred with Kai by artificial insemination on June 12. This is Maple's second and Kai's first breeding. Puppies will be raised in ME. Maple is a 2nd generation Chinook x Tamaskan cross. Kai is a 2nd generation Chinook x Bernese Mountain Dog cross - both in the Chinook Breed Conservation Program (CBCP). Kai was chosen for his strong health and genetics, confident and friendly temperament, and super conformation. Maple's prior breeding and whelping went smoothly. All pups were healthy and Maple was a great Mom. She has lovely balance and a smooth gait. True to her name she is so sweet. She needs a moment to adjust to new things. She's a wonderful gal.
