The importance of crossbreeding historically and in contemporary times is discussed. Select dogs in later generations that descended from the most recent Chinook Owners Association crossbreeding program, the Chinook Breed Conservation Program (CBCP), will ultimately be accepted in the UKC as purebred Chinooks.
