| Kennel Description | Desert Sol Chinooks is a small, hobby breeder of Chinooks, a rare American dog from New England originally bred as a sled dog. The Chinook has been described as "the "world's best kept secret" as they are loving, gentle, great for families, have a moderate energy level, are good working dogs, and make excellent companions (everything one could want in a dog!). We are located in Gilbert, Arizona (we know...that's a long ways from any snow), and are committed to responsibly promoting the breed in the southwestern United States. She has a very feminine look to her and is stunningly beautiful. She loves her family and is always there to dish out hugs and kisses…yes, she actually knows how to hug people! She is an incredible athlete and has dabbled in agility, nose work, and has her CGC. She lives with her humans, "sister” Tika, several cats, and chickens. Her favorite place is the Lake Tahoe area but she’s perfectly happy wherever her family is. Dylan loves people and is good with dogs. He goes to people and turns sideways and leans gently on them for a dog hug. Just like his mom did. He has his CGC and his Novice AKC Rally and also does tricks. We hope to bring Dylan's excellent hip health into this breeding and both Kima and Dylan have sweet and amazing temperaments. |
